None of the Solestruck krew had time to watch the Grammy’s (we were all drinking post-Spring-lookbook-shooting) but it’s no big. After all, the best part of the show is skipping it, reading the winners list the next day, Youtube-ing only the performances you actually want to see and sifting through all the red carpet photos once they’re online.
Best fashion moments of the 2013 Grammy Awards (according to Solestruck):
When I thought Gwen Stefani arrived, and then got blue balls when I realized it’s somebody I’ve never heard of.
When Solestruck’s “(Most Played) Record of the Year” winner also won “Dress & Shoe Combo of the Year.” Ralph & Russo Couture dress, Christian Louboutin shoes. Stole that carpet. Wtf.
When I wondered if he was sporting a perm back in the day, or if he straightens his hair now?
When I don’t know who this woman is, but I know that she’s tragically paired a beautiful, modern shoe with the last dress and hairstyle it should ever be associated with.
When the gays proved that they dress better than everybody. Look at this perfected ensemble: sportswear, minimalism, T-shirt, monocrhome, infinite steeze. And then a Common Projects SNEAKER? Sit down, C. Brown. Sit. Down!
When I lmfao’d.
When you don’t know what the f*ck you’re doing, and choose a PEEP-TOE to go with your Cirque du Soleil costume.
When you do know what the f*ck you’re doing, and choose a peep-toe because you’re being classy tonight. #WWBD
No no, when I REALLY lmfao’d.
And none for Gretchen Wieners. Or Rihanna.
Well, ’til another intriguing monday morning next year.
