Not-so-random fact: the odds of a white Christmas in Solestruck’s part of the Northwest are less than one percent. At least, that’s what they said in the Oregonian today. The article also mentioned that, according to the National Weather Service, the last time we had more than a dusting in Portland on Dec. 25 was seventy years ago!
So it’s no wonder that I was in shock when the snowflakes starting falling yesterday. Yet even as I enjoyed our one-day winter wonderland, I realized that I just don’t have the appropriate footwear for a day of playing in the snow. I guess it’s time to do some shopping. One great option is the Report Glacier in Vanilla … somehow it reminds me of the Ice Queen from the first book in the Chronicles of Narnia! … because it looks so cozy and unique with just a bit of girly glam. But apparently others like it too, because it’s almost sold out, so I better keep looking. I’ll let you know what I find!
