If you love Calvin Klein and Michael Kors, then I bet you’ll love the look of Ce Ce Chin, foundress of 80%20 (listed as Eighty Twenty on Solestruck.com). And Solestruck is happy to announce that they’ve started carrying the fun and eccentric brand.
Known predominantly for pioneering the concealed wedge look, you’ll definitely see height-with-discretion in this season’s line.
One of my personal favorites has to be the Ami Japan Sneaker. This cool leather shoe features a mid-top (higher than your normal trainer, but lower than a hi-top) ankle and slightly pebbled leather all over for lots of texture. But what really struck me initially was that the design on the shoe’s panels closely resembled the traditional Japanese Rising Sun Flag (the official military flag). With the exception of color, you can channel this Japanese classic every time you wear these shoes, for only $89.95 at Solestruck.com.
Another look that I already mentioned is the signature 80%20 concealed wedge heel. While this is definitely not the first season that this trend has seen popularity, this is the first time I’ve seen it used in the same capacity as 80%20. Most of their adorable boots and mary-jane shoes utilize this device, but the shoe that I was immediately drawn to has to be the Jackie boot. I love that it has a super glossy patent leather upper. I love that it has a slouchy vamp (slouch is so in right now!). I love that the shaft borderline is not straight across, and adds a little extra oomph. And I love that the concealed wedge adds so much–intangible?–texture. And you can be a ball of sass in these bad boys for only $189.95 (very reasonable for a boot!) right now at Solestruck.com.
