Catbird Geographic

The elusive catbird is only known to the northwest region of the united states and is very seldom spotted, but on the rare occurrence that the sun comes out and the temperature rises above 50 degrees, the catbird can be seen frolicking around low to the ground bushes and perching on telephone wires.

Catbird sightings date back to 1786, when they were much more abundant due to more habitat. There are several myths based upon the catbird, as people made them out to be an incarnate of evil.

Although some have been captured and domesticated, we do not advise on keeping the catbird as a household pet. They are very unpredictable and scare easily.
