I got on the train on the way to work today and found myself a vacant seat. I got settled in, had a few sips of ice coffee, and felt the tug of the train car. I fumbled for my headphones through keys, a bottle of water, the varried occupants of the bottomless tote bag. As the chatter of the car grew quiet I heard the hum of someone’s headphones. Instantly annoyed I looked around, unable to make-out the music, I searched for the violator of my morning silence. Then I heard the song—I looked around the crowded car as each passenger seemed to slowly mouth the words, smiling ear to ear it seemed to take each of us back–stuck together on this sweaty commute, to a love story we could all relate to–and then it was Friday. Everybody’s Free, To Feel Good.
