FIVE LUCKY LADIES: MATIKO WINNERS ANNOUNCED.

We got over 150 submissions for the NEW YEAR/NEW SHOE giveaway sponsored by our favorite brand MATIKO! We have had a great year launching this brand on the site–and we decided to celebrate our first year together—by giving you guys some shoes! Make sure you check out our current stock on MATIKO shoes—and now after much reading, laughing and sorting—we have found FIVE winners! Drum Roll Please!

Meet Katie! Winner No. 1

My failed New Year resolutions:

2007: I will get my weight down below 120 pounds.
2008: I will follow my new diet religiously until I get below 120 pounds.
2009: I will develop a realistic attitude about my weight.
2010: I will work out 3 days a week.

“My new New Years resolution:
2011: I will try to drive past a gym at least once a week.

hehehe.”

We picked KATIE because anyone who gives up working out–in place of working-it, is fine by us! Katie–these shoes are not good for the gym—but we have a feeling you will get some hearts racing when you are working your new MATIKOs. Congrats KATIE.

Meet Barbara! Winner No.2

This lovely lady first caught our attention earlier this month in the JC Christmas giveaway! She is wild, creative, crazy, with bangin’ style. But with the MATIKO Challenge she won us over witn an acronym, a serious list, a birthday wish and extreme sense of selflessness! Here you go Barbara! WORK THESE OUT!

The Matiko Shoes For the Following Reasons:
1. I’ve Entered Every Solestruck Contest That Took Me So Long To Design Creative Ways To Win. ( I Was One Of The First To Enter This Contest Too! )

3. My New Resolution Is To …Continue To Remain Humble Even When I Don’t Have Enough And To Realize Life Is Short So Play Smart And Handle Business.
I Would Love To Have The Matiko Shoes As A Reminder Of My Positive Attitude Towards Life. No Grudges, No Regrets. Life Is An Experience And I Learn Something New Every Day. ♥. M-arvelous A-dmirable T-errific I-ngenius K-ickAss Shoe-O :)

Meet ISIS. Winner No.3

(picutred far right…Wait is that a stripper pole? YES!)

We fell in love with Isis once we secretly stalked her and found this photo on her blog! Her resolution also drew us to her entry for this conest! She is all about taking it up a notch this year—and spending more time on the simple things! Something we can all relate to around here! Plus—she clearly knows how to party—who doesn’t love a party girl!?

“My goal for 2011 is to loosen the grip I’ve got on my own life a bit. Work less, enjoy life more. Travel more, go out with my friends more, go out to a museum or a garden, shows, parties, art galleries, pursue my hobbies more, and just generally get into a rhythm of life that is more relaxed, fun, and enjoyable. I’ve got the rest of my life to be super serious, 2011 is going to be about enjoying the world around me.”

Meet Lesly. Cheers Lesley! Winner no.4

(Wait, do we just love party girls?)

Lesley, featured above with her bestie doing battle with some beers, won us over with her plea for new MATIKOS. She is about to graduate and jump into the world of fashion! We thought we should get to know her now in case she makes it big! Don’t forget about us small people Lesley–and go get your dreams in 2011, you inspired us! ENJOY, and may these shoes take your next phase up a notch!

“As a second semester senior at Boston College, there’s nothing I’d like more than to step into the real world feeling confident, brave, and ready for my future. As a fashion blogger and shopaholic, what better way to start off 2011 than with my very own local fashion show in Boston, the grand opening of my Rusted Revolution online boutique, and my graduation from college? Help me begin a new stage of my life in style.”

Meet  Avital Winner No. 5

(Don’t ask! Her FB was on LOCK, this was the only pic we could stalk!!! :) )

Our final winner won us over with her pure honesty and love of  shoes, afterall, we are here for shoe addicts! Thanks Avital!

“My husband would like my resolution to be – buy less shoes!
Me, well, my hope is to find new places in our house to hide my brand new shoes!

Dump the purses… a woman can never have enough shoes !”

Thank you to all who entered! This one was tough…we only had five pairs, and limited sizes—so the judging was tough. We love our fans and are so thankful for all of your support in 2010. We hope the winners enjoy their loot—and we expect photos ya’ll.
