I like shoes. A lot. Too much?
There’s something amazing about wearing old sweatshirts and boring jeans but still feeling *100* in a pair of good shoes. They change the way you walk, they provide a pretty aerial view, and you can feel them all day. Okay, true, you can technically “feel” your clothes too, but shoes they… adjust you.
All this to say, I like shoes. A lot. Too much.
But recently, after enduring a hair disaster (that is still ongoing) I’ve realized a fondness for something else: hats. HATS. Who knew they were so equally magical. They’re rather specific (ie the right hat for the right outfit) but damn do they single-handedly make a huge difference, stealing all of the attention away from whatever else you happen to be wearing. Plus you can mask undone, awful hair until it, like, completely grows back.
First up, Bond Hardware. Bond Hardware is everything. If you’re not aware, allow me to ruin your day with insatiable wants:
Let’s talk about the “Greenwich Bucket Hat” from Terra.
I don’t care if it’s on a girl–I’d rock it, like, yesterday.
I don’t care if it’s a bucket hat–it’d go great with my 90s revival.
A hat you can put your lunch in? It’s efficient too!
Speaking of bucket hats, sorry I’m not sorry I have this coming for me via Etsy:
But perhaps I want something more modern.
Perhaps I may still need to pick up this Jeremy Scott x New Era Spring 2013 cap from Opening Ceremony while my size (8) is still the only one in stock.
OR do I want to be more current?
Do I want the Laszlo hat from Robert Geller Spring/Summer 2014?
It’s so chic, I don’t know if I’m even allowed to speak of it while wearing my jeans.
BUT WAIT, NO. WHAT I REALLY NEED IS THIS WILL-BE-ICONIC NASIR MAZHAR HAT.
You know, Nasir Mazhar. The dude who made that orbit headpiece for Gaga?
The architectural headgear is exquisite.
NO. IF I NEED ICONIC, I NEED THOM BROWNE FALL 2014:
NO, THIS IS MORE ME:
OMG THOM, THOSE PANTS:
Let me calm down. Give me a minute.
K, I’m good. I think I’ve made my decision.
I’ll go with classic Gareth Pugh Spring ’12:
And on bottom, maybe a new pair of Rollie?
To keep everything super wearable!
All this to say, I like hats now. A lot. Too much?
