A lot of people ask what it’s like to intern at Solestruck, so I’m here to clue you guys in. My name is Ross Morrell (or “Gabe,” as I’m randomly called in the office) and I intern in Solestruck Men’s creative department. Some of my responsibilities include creating Men’s lookbooks, blogging, tumblr-ing and being an all-around slave to our men’s buyer, Henry.
I loved working with amazing brands like K.T.Z., Vivienne Westwood, Opening Ceremony, Jeremy Scott, Daniel Palillo, and Forfex. Solestruck has taught me many things, from the fact that everything is 100x better when iridescent, to how to properly walk in platform Buffalos and even what it means to be “moded” (for those of you who don’t know, it’s common to yell “MODED” whenever someone corrects another person. Try it out on your friends at home).
Today is actually my last day, so I’ve collected some photos of my favorite moments and the projects I’ve been lucky enough to work on. I will be playing “Good Riddance” by Green Day and trying to hold back my tears… Fashion tears.
