After discovering their mutual passion for vintage fashions and contemporary design, Hilary Rosenman and Barri Budin combined their experiences in the world of New York City fashion to create a line of footwear that beckons to the cultured eyes and careful budgets of city girls like themselves.
The name of the Madison Harding collection pays tribute to the designers’ roots (Hilary spent her childhood years on Madison Avenue in New York City and Barri on Harding Drive in New Jersey), while the attitude of the brand represents their current Lower East Side lifestyle with a blend of current trends and a hint of vintage chic.
The first two Madison Harding shoes to launch on the Solestruck site are the Closed Toe Wedge and the Peep Toe Heel. The first (left), offered in two shades of suede, looks uncomplicated at first but gets cheeky around the heel with contrast stitching and a bold chunky wedge. The second (not pictured) is even less subdued, featuring a sassy cutout both front and back, dramatized by matching piping.
