In the spirit of streetwear, Joyrich has created a capsule collaboration with street artist Keith Haring (to the delight of the many who worship at the house of Joyrich)! We at Solestruck are not one to miss out on a fab collab, so we sent in specialist Madeline Hanses of JEAN GREIGE to get the inside scoop. Check out the images below!
Last week, Jessi Jae Joplin and I had the pleasure of attending the sneak preview of the upcoming Joyrich X Keith Haring collaboration! Joyrich has become a cult club since its inception in 2007, reaching nu-rave club kids, sneaker heads, and internet celeb-utantes alike with bold pop art graphics and clever design motifs.
Designer David Melgar selected Keith Haring’s work for the obvious aesthetic qualities — bright colors and playful displays of movement that seem so well-suited for Joyrich’s unique brand of irreverence — but I couldn’t help but appreciate the social connotations of the collaboration as well: the crossover between the iconic and the iconoclastic.
