Versace x H&M? Scary.
Prada x LG? Bored.
Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama? Holy flippin’ shit, Norma, them French folk are at it again! Where’s my credit card!
A fashion house that needs no introduction, Louis Vuitton has just unveiled its latest collaboration collection: a psychedelic, trauma-inducing, sickening line of apparel and accessories inspired by Japan’s reigning queen of contemporary art, 83-year-old Yayoi Kusama.
So what does a love child between King Louis and a Japanese woman who would appear to be his polar opposite look like? Answer: exactly like what you’d expect it to.
LV, of course, is no stranger to the collabo. From pop artists to graffiti artists, tattoo artists, rap artists and many more, the brand has dipped its royal richard into too many talented folks to count; turning a new leaf with each execution. Take a trip down memory lane and remember some of its most iconic collaborations:
Louis Vuitton X Stephen Sprouse
Louis Vuitton X Takashi Murakami
Louis Vuitton X Scott Campbell
Louis Vuitton X Richard Prince
Louis Vuitton X Yeezy
I’m sure we all have our favorites, but I’d most like to get my hairy feet into one of those LVXKW sneakers.
Call me “biased.”
SPEAKING OF COLLABORATION DREAMS COMING TRUE… have you nabbed your own pair of the limited line of Jeffrey Campbell X Blackmilk X Solestruck threesome extravaganza? The clock is ticking!
