Q: What inspired you to start your own shoe line?
A: I originally designed clothes and jewelry. I decided to learn how to hand make shoes for fun in a small factory. I made some shoes for myself and ended up falling in love with it. I made a few samples and Whala!
Q: When did it really start to hit you that Deandri was becoming “in demand”?
A: when Solestruck, the site I go to for my shoeporn decided they wanted to order my shoes.
Q: Who would you most like to see wearing Deandri?
A: I honestly just love seeing it on my customers most! It’s such an amazing feeling knowing someone wants to own my shoes! Celeb wise, grimes! Which she just got a pair of black on black Olga’s! Crazy!
Q: Which clueless character do you most identify with?
A: omg!! One of my fav movies! Would love to say Cher but probably Tai.
Q: Weirdest stalker moment?
A: never had the pleasure with a human, but my dog lambchop stares at me and follows me everywhere.
Q: What’s the one thing in your closet you’d die without?
A: my high collar shirts.
Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
A: genie powers, then I could change my powers to whatevers.
Q: Favorite Simpsons character?
A: Itchy and scratchy!
Q: What’s next for Deandri?
A: I’m working on my clothing line and new shoe designs!
Q: Word of advice to aspiring designers out there?
A: Don’t ever give yourself limits and make a lot of mistakes, they are you’re biggest strength.
