Subsequently, an influx of sporty men’s shoes have been hitting Solestruck shores recently–though none of them are actually functional for sprinting, blitzing, dunking and whatever else it is that athletes do.
Our November arrivals lookbook Play Like A Boy is an homage to the boys last picked but best dressed. It offers a glimpse into the life of Melvin Carraway (AKA “Mel C” [haha, get it?]), acting as commentary on the modern man and the gender roles forced onto boys in the world of sports. It’s a beautiful mash-up of contradictory feminine and masculine motifs featuring fabulous shoes from KENZO, BUFFALO, BERNHARD WILLHELM and ADIDAS.
Did I mention the whole team had massive Halloween hangovers while shooting this?
