Never fully regal and always with a sharp tongue, Dame Vivienne Westwood shines her wry light upon the fashion industry once again with her Fall 2013 men’s collection. Demented styling, angry models, abrasive prints and post-apocalyptic riot apparel stomp down the runway in perfect sync with Westwood’s beloved British punk–Westwood’s beloved environmentally-friendly British punk, I should say. You see, he’s upset about one issue this season and one issue only: climate change. In tandem with the launch of her Get a Life campaign, Westwood uses this collection to broadcast her latest political passions and efforts to raise awareness for climate control. And, well, one way or another, she’s sure caught my attention.
Style notes to take home: loose-fitting and light layers, cinched ankles, neon accents, baggy tailoring, statement shoes (of the plastic variety in particular)
