Shoes fit for a superhero(ine)

Heroine
Have you ever felt an innate desire–nay, need–to help the underdog and smash the dreams of evildoers?

Do you have a Robin Hood complex?

Sometimes, when you’re alone, do you wear stretchy pants?

Are multiple personalities your thing? Do you think you have the power to fly? Can you lift cars, cause tsunamis, or still time?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, you may be a superhero!

If you answered “no” to any of the above questions, you might not be a superhero, but you can still dress like one! And I’m not talking costumey capes and skin-tight leotards, either.

Go ahead; channel the wham-bam-pow! style that comes with fun graphic novels and comic books with your footwear! And the model that’ll do the trick? Try on the Betseyville Aiko for starters, at only $84.95 at Solestruck.com.

When I first saw this flashy black-and-white patent zigzag pump, I knew something was extremely awesome about it. I couldn’t put my finger on what it was. Did it remind me of the lightning scar on Harry Potter?

No, that wasn’t it.

Then it hit me like that bolt of lightning.

X-Men! Of course!

This alluring pair of pumps is surely inspired by the prim-yet-unpredictible Aurora. Not only does the black-and-white scheme echo the svelte superheroine‘s uniform, but the splashes of zigzagged patent adds an air of whimsy and a definitive graphic feel.

While the subsonic superheroine prefers some practical white boots for her fights in flight, we can’t help but imagine she might sport these shoes at an X-Men gala.
